EVOLVE products are notably lighter than traditional 5/8” Fire-Shield® Gypsum Board, making them an ideal choice for architects and specifiers seeking an efficient and more sustainable solution.
The EVOLVE family includes three distinct products: EVOLVE 30™, EVOLVE X™ and EVOLVE XP™. Each product offers unique benefits:
- is up to 30% lighter than 5/8” Fire-Shield Gypsum Board and is suitable for single-layer construction with 30-minute fire-rated or non-rated assemblies.
- is up to 20% lighter than 5/8” Fire-Shield Gypsum Board and features a Type X core. Suitable for both single- and multi-layer drywall construction.
- is designed for areas where moisture is a concern, offering mold and mildew resistance along with a fire-resistant Type X core. This product is up to 20% lighter than 5/8” XP Fire-Shield Gypsum Board.
