National Gypsum Company has launched the , marking a significant advancement in gypsum board technology. The innovative product line is engineered to conserve water, reduce energy use, and lower carbon emissions, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable building materials.
EVOLVE products are notably lighter than traditional 5/8” Fire-Shield® Gypsum Board, making them an ideal choice for architects and specifiers seeking an efficient and more sustainable solution.
The EVOLVE family includes three distinct products: EVOLVE 30™, EVOLVE X™ and EVOLVE XP™. Each product offers unique benefits:
- is up to 30% lighter than 5/8” Fire-Shield Gypsum Board and is suitable for single-layer construction with 30-minute fire-rated or non-rated assemblies.
- is up to 20% lighter than 5/8” Fire-Shield Gypsum Board and features a Type X core. Suitable for both single- and multi-layer drywall construction.
- is designed for areas where moisture is a concern, offering mold and mildew resistance along with a fire-resistant Type X core. This product is up to 20% lighter than 5/8” XP Fire-Shield Gypsum Board.
